Nalin Sachdeva
Nalin is a seasoned business and finance professional and a thought leader with 39 years of experience in Corporate and Project Finance in diverse infrastructure sectors across the globe.
Nalin was previously the Global Head of Project Development & Structured Finance with Philips Healthcare. Prior to Philips, Nalin worked at General Electric Company for 20 years, where he held various positions in multiple locations including London, Singapore, and India. With a deep reach into equity and debt capital markets, and strong affiliations with legal and investment banking organisations, Nalin plays an active role as an advisor to both businesses and service providers across the globe.Nalin has been responsible for a wide range of finance offerings from trade finance, deferred payment structures and lease financing to structured debt, quasi-equity, and private equity deals. These transactions have mostly been in collaboration with energy and healthcare developers, institutional and other investors/ commercial lenders, as well as multilateral and other international lending institutions, including multiple Export Credit Agencies across the world. As a result, Nalin has an extensive network of relationships in the finance and banking sector, in addition to strong links with premier names in the energy and healthcare space.
Nalin was previously with the International Finance Corporation, a part of the World Bank group, where he led several investments in multiple sectors including synthetic fibres, cement, and electronics. Prior to joining IFC, Nalin was in the Corporate Financial Services of Bank of America, where he advised clients on project and corporate finance, and managed IPOs
Nalin has managed diverse, multi-cultural teams across the globe. He has completed various projects in key markets across the world including China, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. He was previously registered with the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK and has served as a Director on the Boards of several companies over the last two decades.
